Meet the artist

Laura Garcia Serventi is based in Brooklyn, NY. She specialises in contemporary botanical painting and illustration.

"I grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina," Laura tells us. "There I attended Art School, where I studied painting. I always knew I wanted to be an artist, but my love for plants came later in life, maybe triggered by my interest in botanical gardens.

"I always found greenhouses extremely attractive and fascinating… Now, wherever I travel I never miss to visit the local garden, no matter how big or small it is. My apartment, where I live with my husband and son, is also filled with plants. So many, that it’s starting to feel like a jungle."
