Once Upon a Time: Wizard of Oz is one of several story time puzzles featuring key elements from a classic tale. We are reminded that while it's unfair to pick on anyone - it's especially shameful to attack those who are most vulnerable. This sweet scene featuring Dorothy, the Lion, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and of course, Toto, to whom Dorothy protects dearly is a turning point in the life of the cowardly Lion who joins them on their journey to the Emerald City. This charming moment is framed by a border of poppies, hinting at the beautiful but perilous journey that awaits them all.

What is Puzzle Chess?

Puzzle Chess is an exciting way to turn any puzzle into a head-to-head game. Race your opponent by taking turns connecting pieces until the puzzle is complete.

How to Play? Flip all the pieces face up and assemble the edge. Once the frame is completed, set a time limit for your game - how long is up to you - then players take turns placing pieces. After connecting a piece, each player must tap the timer to start their opponent’s clock. Take turns until the final piece is placed. The player with the most time remaining on their clock wins!

Don’t Want to Compete? Of course, this puzzle can also be assembled the traditional way. It features larger pieces, which makes it perfect for puzzlers looking for easy-to-handle pieces or anyone looking for a speedy challenge.

Box and Poster Info

• A poster is only included if the box cover says "Poster Included" below our logo.
• In 2023, our 1000 piece to 275 piece boxes downsized from 10" x 14" x 2.38" to 8.25" x 11.25" x 2.0" and a depth of 3.75" for the 2000 piece. However, until all retailers and our warehouse have completely sold out, there will be a mix of box sizes. Please check for this detail if that matters to you.
• Pre-2018 we did not include posters with our puzzles. The pre-2018 box frame colour is beige as opposed to green, blue, or red/rust.
• Modular boxes that are a "square-ish" size of 7.5" x 8.0" x 2.5" do not include posters.
• There have been no changes to the Floor and Tray Puzzles.
